The government has announced details of it’s coronavirus grant for UK businesses
Lime is working away, as busy as ever and we are sure that most of our clients, franchisees and franchisors will want to know about this scheme and exactly what can be claimed and when.
As a free service to those in the franchise industry we will monitor this situation closely and notify you when the scheme goes live. Just register your details here and you’ll be among the first to know.
In addition to the coronavirus grant there is a helpline for businesses and self employed individuals like franchisees and franchisors who may be in financial difficulty. The helpline is for those with outstanding tax liabilities to receive support with their tax obligations. As a result, businesses may be able to agree a bespoke “time to pay” arrangement. If you are concerned about being able to pay your tax due to COVID-19, call the freephone number on 0800 0159 559.
A £25,000 grant will be provided to retail, hospitality and leisure businesses operating from smaller premises, with a rateable value between £15,000 and £51,000.
£10,000 cash grants are available through local authorities to help the smallest businesses.
The Department for Business, Energy & Industrial Strategy will be contacting local authorities this week to outline the scheme, and encourage them to prepare, we understand that grants won’t be available until April.

This is a very fluid situation and we will update this page as soon as the scheme goes live and businesses can apply for it. If you are in the franchise industry ew’ll also help you to complete the application process.
