About Vanarama

Hampshire based Vanarama supplied commercial vehicles on leasing packages to small businesses around the country. As early adopters of web retailing they were a progressive business but also found that there was room within the business format for a face to face sales process and so a franchise system was and Andy Cheetham appointed to advise the owners and implement a recruitment campaign to appoint franchisees around the UK to sell Vanarama’s leasing deals at a local level.

Rapid Growth

The company grew rapidly and appointed around 60 franchisees alongside it’s own organic expansion in non franchised locations. Managed by a very entrepreneurial team headed up by Andy Anderson the franchising activities were cash generative and played an important role in growing the brand’s presence around the UK.

Ultimately Vanarama was sold to Auto Trader in a £200 million deal and franchising activities were ceased prior to the acquisition.
