The Rainbow Care Group run day care centres in community venues for people who have received a dementia diagnosis. Locations include sports clubs, village halls, church buildings, urban farms, stables and tourist venues. Running between 10am and 4pm trained dementia carers organise cognitive, sensory and reminiscence activities that aim to slow progression of the disease. The result is that people can spend more time at home with their loved ones rather than go into full time care.

When they first contacted Lime Licensing Group we immediately saw the potential for the business to scale beyond it’s base ion Knaresborough and Harrogate via a franchise system.

A franchise opportunity was designed, and a recruitment campaign implemented in April 2023. By April 2024 the company had 10 franchisees trading, at the time of this post (Oct 24) the company has appointed 17 franchises. A crucial point is that we have turned down at least the same number of applicants. This is an important point in franchising because it’s easy to sell franchises to the wrong people.
